When System Leaders take Lead

Vidhya Vidhai | Chennai | 32 Districts | 100+ Leaders

State SMC coordinator, Mr. Sasi Kumar in Chennai was wondering how to enable the leaders in the education system to support the SMC members in the state to become more aware and responsible towards enabling the teaching-learning process in the public schools. This November, he consulted our partner organization Vidhya Vidhai and together, they planned to conduct a state-level training for 100+ system leaders including the District SMC coordinators, Block Resource Trainers, DIET lecturers, and HMs, from 32 districts of Tamil Nadu.

Team Vidhya Vidhai introduced him to the platform capabilities and the solutions which could be offered to the participants during the workshop so that it becomes participatory, engaging and valuable. They co-created multiple platform-based learning solutions including a welcome note with a QR code that took the participants directly to a short quiz about SMCs, an energized planner that had QR codes linked to curated learning resources like roles and responsibilities of SMC, the importance of Community Participation and how to plan effective SMC meetings, etc. Post the workshop, the coordinator expressed, "There was a freshness to this workshop. It's wonderful that the platform can host resources in different languages. The co-creation process "

ShikshaLokam congratulates team Vidhya Vidhai and leaders like Mr. Sasi Kumar in the system, who are working to drive improvements at scale.

Energized calendars for CRPs

How do you make learning easy and accessible for a stakeholder? In one such attempt made in Bangalore, Mantra4Change co-created an energised calendar with the DIET to encourage self-learning among CRPs. This calendar had QR codes for each month. Once scanned, these open up learning content on Bodh app related to key activities of CRPs for respective months. The participants showed great excitement towards this unique and personalised take away.
