This includes content relating to all aspects of the informal school ecosystem. This could include capacity development and interventions focused on non-formal actors at the school, cluster, block, district, state and broader educational ecosystem. For e.g. this could include actors such as teacher unions and community action groups, PRIs,NGOs, academic institutions, other world bodies etc.

Schools are located within complex sociopolitical contexts and values framework. Educational (K-12) leadership has for long commented and provided knowledge on the importance of understanding and working with the ecosystem of schools as essential for improving school and student outcomes. Educational leadership has also acknowledged the interconnections and influences of informal power, relationships amongst multiple non-regulatory actors as key factors in shaping schools and how leaders can understand and work with a school’s broader ecosystem.
