This could include leadership capacity development and interventions focused on actors/entities and institutions at the cluster, block, district and state levels who have formal influence on schools and its functioning.
Rationale for inclusion in the Taxonomy
A school does not work in isolation but is regulated by a host of other organizations and entities in the K-12 formal system. Understanding how these organizations and institutions work and how they are regulated/administered and how they can be led to be more effective and more supportive to schools is a core aspect of educational leadership. In particular, educational administration and management of organizations and institutions supporting schools is a fundamental knowledge component of the field of educational leadership and must find place in the taxonomy.
