Policies, guidelines, acts, rules and regulations are regulatory aspects that govern how schools work. These are essential knowledge for all leaders and administrators to understand and to practice within their organizations. Educational leadership also sees policy work as reformative – i.e. policy changes has the capacity to bring about changes in the way that schools can be led and managed. Hence knowledge about concepts as well as interventions around policy are important areas within educational leadership.
