Brief Description

Content around various perspectives, models, practices around how change happens in K-12 schools and school systems, examination of dominant approaches to changes such as programs and interventions, how interventions and programs can be designed and managed, large scale programme management,  other critical approaches to educational change including (but not limited to) ideas of change relating to power and structural changes, societal action, policy change, socio-cultural changes etc.

 

Rationale for inclusion in the Taxonomy

Perspectives on educational change, understanding various assumptions, beliefs and mental models around why and how change happens, perspectives on change management and the various approaches associated with it, critical approaches to change, systemic approaches to change, programmatic approaches to change – all of these are essential for K-12 leaders and influencers to understand if change is to become real and sustained.
